Risk Assessment in the darkroom

Risk	Ways to prevent
Darkness	Communicate with others and don’t run and feel way around the dark room to avoid accidents.
Chemicals	Make sure to wear gloves and to wash hands after handling the chemicals.
Enlargers	Make sure to feel around the darkroom or could hit you head.
Don’t eat or drink in the darkroom	Chemicals could easily spill. Or could make someone slip on liquid if split with out noticing it.
Don’t run	Could hit in to someone with chemicals or bang into equipment.
Printers	Ask if anyone is at the print to avoid accidents. Also don’t walk to fast.
Avoid walking into people	Communicate and tell people you are walking down the middle.
Equipment	Dont place anything in the middle of the darkroom. (If needed make sure everyone is aware.)
Don’t walk around with pens or any sharp objects can be harmful.	Just be careful and be aware of others.
